I'm trying to rout a 4 digit internal dial to a LD DID. I need to get around auth codes and tgar.

Caller internally dials VRU. VRU needs to rout call to specific LD # to talk to person in Boston.

External caller dials VRU. VRU needs to rout call to specific LD # to talk to person in Boston.

I've tried setting up an ACDN w/NCFW to LD #.
I've tried setting up phantom 500 set w/DCFW to LD #.
I've tried setting up a DSC, which I think is probably the right way to go, but have been unable to get it to work.

Any suggestions?

your going to need a trunk that allows the call.. if nothing else a single trunk in a new route.. dsc to a new rlb, if the dsc is 4 digits, del 4 add 1 xxx xxx xxxx.. if all your rlb's today require auth codes you need one that does not..

you can add an scl that bypasses ncos.. tgar/targ may still be a block..

ACD with NCFW to a trunk ACOD instead of 9, I use them all the time.

ie: NCFW 800012144567890
8000 is the ACOD to my PRI for LD service.

and that works without a flaw if you do not have tgar/targ blocking the call.. we use it here for some workarounds as well..

Thanks to you both.

I couldn't get the DSC to work. I've been banging my head against my desk, but that doesn't help either. If it will work that way, I'm sure I'm close. I just don't have time to show exactly how I've got them programmed.

For now, I've gone and removed targ from the outbound route, which allows me to use the ACD solution.

Thanks again.

post one port on the vru.. i assume that is a version of an ivr?

Rout 17 now has no targ. It is a T1 programmed as IAO DID. Ports all have NCOS set to dial LD.

FRL is set pretty high.
Do your incoming lines have an NCOS that high?
Try lowering your FRL to 1 and see if the call goes out. If so you have found your problem.

I've tried

frl = 0, mfrl = 0
frl = 1, mfrl = 1
frl = 7, mfrl = 7
frl = 1, mfrl = 7

NCOS 2 allows LD

According to the NTP's:
MFRL - Set MFRL used to determine autocode prompting. Use default of MIN to set minimum FRL value.

I seem to remember seeing something that said a higher FRL and/or MFRL will make it easier for calls to pass.

Nope. iset makes calls easier, ends search. Anyway, easy way to remember, associate NCOS/FRL with money:

NCOS - how much you have

FRL - how much it cost to ride.

MFRL - yes gives authcode ability, if you don't want stutter tone awaiting authcode entry, match MFRL to FRL.

Shouldn't using a dsc like this get around the need for an authcode?
