I have two networks here one is Peer-peer the other has NT server. I have two nics installed in server to allow acces to internet box shared on p-to-p network.

The nic's are

10.21.182.11 and 192.168.0.2

server network is 10.21.182.0 IP's
peer-to-peer is 192.168.0.0 IP's

How do I get the PC's on the NT server network to access the internet?
I have tried various routing procedures but can't seem to ping the IP of the internet box (192.168.0.1) from the server side PC's. I can access the internet via the NT box and ping from there.

Any help greatly appreciated.

do you have routing enabled on the NT box that sits between the two networks? If you do here is how you would set them up.

Server side workstations

10.21.182.0 <-- Network Address
10.21.182.11 <-- Gateway Address

NT Box with 2 nics

192.168.0.1 <-- Gateway Address

Peer to Peer Workstations

192.168.0.0 <-- Network Address
192.168.0.1 <-- Gateway Address

With routing enabled on the NT box, traffic not local to the network will be passed to the NT box, the NT box should forward them on to either the 192.168.0.0 network or to the next hop if not local to 192.168.0.0. Next hop being the 192.168.0.1 Internet Gateway address.

i have a really big problem, i think its with routing problem or with the internal network. here is the situation. I have the following :

1. 1 PC running on Winroute Pro having 2 NIC's, lets call this PC NS1.
2. My DSL provider gave me 5 static ip's 202.163.195.137/29
3. My DSL modems IP is 202.163.195.137 which would serve as my gateway.
4. NS1's first NIC has the IP address of 202.163.195.138
and gateway of 202.163.195.137 netmask 255.255.255.248
5. NS1 has DHCP server enabled from Winroute PC, it also acts as a mail server.
6. I have a 24 port hub, capable of supporting repeaters on the 12th and the 24th port.
The situation :
I have a LAN which connects through NS1 via DHCP, which works out fine.
I want to use one of the 5 IP addresses that my DSL provider gave me, when i use it within my LAN, i cant ping my gateway which is supposedly 202.163.195.137 (the IP of my DSL modem) . I tried connecting my DSL modem direct to the HUB with a cross-over cable but then my DSL connection dies. what can possibly be the problem ???? hELp!!!!

thanks,
henry
