our long distance billing is out of whack. This happened ever since we
implemented authorization codes in our switch. Does anyone know if this would
certainly impact the calls being routed on certain trunks. Any if it is a possibility
than what is the best way to rectify this problem?

When iI say out of whack I mean we haev to LD carriers one is usually hight than the other which is a failover carrier.
Ofocurse, the failover carriers rates are much higher. We also moved over approx 30 employees from one buildign to another.

Would this have an effect on the routing of calls> the people we moved over to the other office were on a option51c and now are on an option 11
Taken that this is an older system would this maybe be the cause of the problem?

The reason we changed the NCOs is so that we are able to implement a force charge code procedure for the users.
It is the only NCOS that will authorize force charge codes. I have a feeling that the trunks are not rsetup properly to accompany the 20 somewhat users that moved
into the other office.

Does anyone know what it may be and what the best action to tak ewith this is?

Thanks a billion.

are you sending aut codes to cdr? ld 88 acdr=yes?

a auth code changes a persons ncos which can allow them to take a diffetern entry in the rlb.. need help tracing that path, let me know

yes please john. Please let me know how I can trace the path.

If those 20 people moved into your office and are using the same PBX you shouldn't have a problem. Check the CLAS on the AUTH codes. You should look at the NCOS and TGAR. See if you see any discrepencies there. go to LD 88
REQ PRT
TYPE AUB
CUST x
SCPW xxxx (try zeroes if you don't know it)
return.
This should be a good place to start. The NCOS/FRL controls which route calls go out over.

call are on two diff. PBX opti 11 and opt 51c.

People moved from 51 to 11

Everyone is on NCOS 1 due to only NCOS which restricts auth. codes. Any idea on where to go from here ? should I ceheck option 11

***The FRL ON THE RLI 40 (LAST ENTRY ABOVE) IS 0 , WOULD THIS BE THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM CONSIDERING THAT EVERYONE IS SET TO 1??***

FRLs are tied in with your NCOSs. Go to LD 87 and do the following
REQ PRT
CUST X
FEAT NCTL
NRNG 0 7 (if 7 is the highest-defined NCOS in your switch).
Which switch is your printout from?

you have a lot of routes, but there's no indication what traffic is going out over these routes. start by checking the FRLs as i stated earlier. Post back your findings.

I have run into this using auth codes before. Auth codes use tgar and targ AND ncos. set your tgar and targ to block the high cost route and you should be fine, as it should default out over the second route. Do you have CDR? if so you can track it this way.
