Routing incoming local call to internal extension

Hello all,
I am working with Avaya Communication Manager using Avaya Site Administration ver 6.0. I am trying to route a local call, say dialing 713-414-2114 and expecting it to ring to internal extension 2150 what steps should I consider looking into first? I thank you for your time and appreciate any help.

Do you mean you want to intercept a local user calling that number and route to 2150? ars digit conversion can do that.

Do you want to route only calls from that number into your system to 2150? That's a little tougher

Yes Kyle555, It is like a private phone line. Normally all calls will go through receptionist or through an automatic greeting, IF YOU KNOW YOUR PARTY EXT. PLEASE ENTER IT NOW ....... Right now I have one private line and it does just that, like numbers mentioned earlier but now I want to change from ext 2150 to something else however I just couldn't figure out the conversion part but I will try like you say in ars digit conversion to see if I figure something out
Yes I just want to route only that direct that local # to only that extension. Thanks for your help. I keep you posted and please continue input whatever you think it will works

Depends what trunks you have. Say on ISDN PRI, you have an incoming call handling digit treatment table. If it were on trunk 1, "change inc trunk 1" and you'd have a table for all incoming digits sent and what to do with them. Say, get 1234, delete the 4 digits, insert Sally's extension, get 2222, delete those 4 digits, put in Bob's extension, etc.

Here is a snap shot. I am looking at a line in BOLD, I have tried to change EXT 2150 to something else say my ext 2182 but it still ring to x 2150. In the same line you see 2113, I assume it is part of the 713-414-2113 which is my local #. Do I miss some step here?

I don't get it... do you want all calls to DID 2113 that are re-routed to 2150? Your original post said 2114 - which has no entry. Have you tried adding 2114?

My mistake, I am sorry, not 2114. It's 713-414-2113 when this is dialed and I want it rings to to 2182 instead 2150. Forget about 2114. As mentioned above I changed 2150 to 2182 but it does not work am I missing something?
No, I don't want all calls to DID 2113 re-routed to 2150.

What other trunk groups do you have?

Try using a "list tra stat 2182" command and placing a call.

Can that number be coming down an alternate circuit/trunk and are you sure the carrier is sending 4 digits down the circuit?

Iam confused. Does this number 713-414-2113, belong to your org.? Is it one of your DID? IF yes, what Truck does the call come in on?
IF not whos number is it?

If you know what trunk group it is ringing into then do a list trace tac (this is most likely a 3 digit number on trunk group form)then it it's coming in on a pri cha inc for trunk group and modify it from there

again thank you all.

I have another similar case like previous one, this time when 713-414-2114 is dialed it will ring to internal ext 2114 and I want to it to ring to different ext.; however since I could not find the incoming 4 digit (2114) on the left side to corresponding to the 4 digit on right side of this table so could not insert or change to a new internal ext. Do you all know why it is not there like I have 2113 in previous case? Is it because 713-414-2114 not a DID number?
FYI When I did LI TRA STA it gave second table below, so where or what should I start to trace? Thank you

Add it to the list and point it where you want it to go, and see if that works.

because it's already built as a did station so no need to add it unless you need to change it to a different location
