I'm trying to setup an "afterhours" hunt group to be able to call all phones (in the group) as well as supervisors cell phones.

Please correct me if any of this is wrong as I'm still learning lol

Hunt group is set to collective Ring mode with existing extension in it. As well as 2 "phantom" extensions with forwarding Unconditional/Forward Hunt group calls & forward Internal Calls all checked with their cell number listed 91#########

When testing this out... it doesn't ring to the cell phones and in the logs I keep seeing this

I've checked all the lines coming in and none or out of service.

I had also tried setting up an 2nd hunt group with sequential ring mode, adding just those 2 users, as an overflow to the other hunt group but the overflow never kicked in. I was able to make a call to the overflow hunt group and it did dial the first cell but the voicemail picked up on the cell and wouldn't move to the next person.

Next step was to try routing it all through another phone system that has a PRI in place, but when it tries to ring the cell, it comes back as busy.

you cannot forward huntgroup calls for collective hut groups, only Sequential & collective
depending on your software level & the number of users (remember ecah forwarded connection uses up an additional ISDN circuit) you many be able to use Mobile twinning.

as you have discovered VM on mobiles can also cause problems (twinning has a Mobile Guard time to minimise this problem) so this method o dealing with after hours calls is probably not as good an idea as it initially sounds.
escalated out calling using VM Pro is probably more appropriate, it enable your caller to leave a message & then the system will keep trying to deliver it until it is acknowledged.

Does twinning require a physical phone & extension to be setup?

No, it just needs a basic user

each time I try to call the extension with the twinning setup I just get a busy signal.

Appears that twinning needs PRI to function. This location only has POTS lines....

Game over
Off switch diverts on analog lines whilst possible (providing you have a reliable disconnect signal) is never a good idea

So as a work around, I ended up configuring extensions with those cell number setup for twinning on another phone system that has PRI lines. Added those extensions into the hunt group at the other location (via SCN)and bob's your uncle it works. Not the prettiest setup, but it work.

thanks for all the suggestions/ideas

Congratulation & well resolved
another alternative would have been to have created a prefix that would route the outbound calls via the SCN to the PRI & the remote site.
star given for posting a working solution
