Hi there I have a customer running 8720 with a number of remote gateways. What they are looking for is a way to route a common number to a local emergency point on each of their sites. For example if I am on site 1 and dial 555 it routes to a number on site 1. If I am on site 7 and dial 555 it routes to a number on site 7.
This will work fine in theory using ani and vectoring given that each site has a different extension range, so by looking up the ani in a vrt I can then route to a specific number based on that.
Where the problem lies is that I a person from site 1 goes to site 7 and logs their phone in there and has a need to dial 555 in an emergency then based on the extension cli it will call an emergency number on site 1 rather than site 7 where the person actually is located at that time.
Does all that make sense and if so, can anyone suggest any other way to do this or some way to work around this issue, which I dont think will be a major problem but one that has been mentioned in discussions.
Regards
Richard
