Routing and Remote Access - Stops all comms to server

Hi all,

I'm simply trying to configure Routing and Remote Access to accept VPN connections.

The problem I have is that as soon as I start the Routing and Remote Access Service all other communications to the server stop. I can't ping it, I can't get to the data shares, I can't RDP it!!!!

Please help!! What have I missed??

have you checked that the windows firewall hasn't become active and what subnet structures are you using?

Everything was ok in terms of networking.

I found a way round by choosing the custom option when setting it up and from there just selecting it is an incoming RRAS server.

I then had RRAS working and the server could still be seen by the network/clients.
