Hi All,

Does anyone have an example of how to make and extension from my Master Site (say... extesion 4120) ring at my networked Slave Site (say... extension 5135)?

I finally got my two sites networked via a Point to Point T1, set up the PRI b-channels, udp, centralized voicemail, etc. All calls come into my Master Site. Master Site has extionsion 4100 - 41xx and Slave Site has 5100 - 51xx.

I now have to move a few employees to my new location and they would like to take their extensions with them....just wondering how to accomplish that task.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Mike

If you have a Magix Messaging (grey module) - then every voicemail ports needs to be rotary enabled or the voicemail cannot transfer calls. You do not need to do this for a Legend MLM 007 voicemail or older Legend voicemails. It is done under system programming, extentions, more, more, rotary enable, enter extention numbers.

Thanks Tom.

I took the VM extensions x7172-x7179 (for my 8 ports)...I made sure that Rotary Enabled was set, that they were unrestricted, TrunktoTrunk is enabled, RCF enabled...but still cannot get to Slave site through the automated attendant...but i can transfer to it fine from any Master site phone.... this is driving me nuts...

Have you set REMOTE ACCESS > NON TIE & TIE LINES to UNRESTRICTED?

That just may do it for you......

Have you checked selector codes in the voice mail auto attendant? Selector code four should be direct extension transfer.

Merlinman, yes, they are set to unrestricted.
Tom, selector code 4 is for direct extension transfer, (i still need to redo my autoattendant to make code 5 a direct extension transfer too), I also use *t to test both ranges. Any 4100-41xx (except the ones that i moved to the node location) ring fine.

Yet another test:
Can you call the VMS from the main site, and get to the remote site, i.e., don't come in on an outside line.

Ok, I have to admit I made a mistake. But, I have to admit that all is working now! Thanks to all of your help.

I did a print of the extension directory:

A 7/15 4170 FAXSVR3 N N N N U 3 N 7/16 4171 FAXSVR4 N N N N U 3 N
A 8/ 1 7172 VM1 N N Y N U 0 N 8/ 2 7173 VM2 N N Y N U 0 N

and noticed ARS restriction column for VM extensions were set to zero...I had thought that I had set it to 3 previously..but i was checking the info on a different screen.

Thank you all for the help as it is much appreciated.

Best Regards,

Mike

He he he he...Very True! Thanks again for the help!

I have a Magix with PRI to a Definity. I can call from the Definity to the Magix. When I call from the Magix to the Definity, I see the display on the definity phone, but does not ring the definity phone. I can pick up the call and it stays up but can not talk in either direction? any ideas?
