router pcmcia flash card partitioning

as anyone ever tried partioning a pcmcia memory card ?
like i got a 220mb and would like to get a 16mb 1st partition.
it's for a 1605-r so file system is B.
Crisco only talk's about 48 to 128 MB

thx for any comment's or shared experience.

did not have the gutts to reload 1st
but look's it does not work
card compatibility i guess..
