What is everybody using or recommending to customers for routers with SIP trunks?

We have been using the Meraki Z3 and they have been working well, just wondering if there are other options out there for the small locations and SOHO customers. The Meraki hardware isn't horrible price wise, but some customers have a hard time with the licensing that costs almost as much as the box itself.

Fortigate, Sonicwall? I mean they all work... I mean you could also look at pfsense and make your own router/firewall. I mean seriously an ASUS off the shelf router will work also. Just depends on what you are doing and what your expectations are. I personally for my home stuff am using pfsense on a virtualized machine.

I have Opnsense deployed for myself and a few simple sites. For hardware 2 locations use the Protecli products. My house uses a repurposed Dell R610 server.

I'm building an Opensense one right now using an old SuperMicro rack mounted computer.

I *really* like Mikrotik routers.
