Router crashes Domino Server

Nrouter.exe is crashing the server. I´ve read some articles about it, this is a conversion problem, aparently fixed on 5.0.6. I´m running 5.0.12, and this problem is happening a lot....

To workaround this, I created a new replica of Name and replaced the old on, restarted the server; renamed the mail.box and created new ones by notes when it boots (every time when chrash occurs).

I saw a Bug exactaly like this on release 5.0.8, and a bug similar to this on 5.0.12. This last bug will be fized on 5.0.13.

Anyone has any idea about how to workaroung this problem? The server crahses about 5 times a week.....

Some questions:

1/
Can you see in the logs what exactly is the server doing at the moment it crashes?

What is the OS of the server?

Are you running any add-ins for e-mail filtering and virus scanning on your server such as Trend Micro Mailscan for Domino or others?

Did you check conversion settings? Try to leave incoming messages as much as possible in the original format and avoid converting outgoing ones as much as possible

Did you check the person and group documents in your address books? Some things can cause the router to crash teh server such as:
- mail is forwarded to another location but no location is specified or a mailbox is also still specified
- invalid mailbox names, duplicate e-mail addresses and so on
- problem with groups that have no members altough the members are listed (check the "members" field and re-create the groups if necessary)

At the moment it crashes, the server tasks were fine, and the server was send ing mail, opening user sessions, and so on....

I have it installed on Windows 2K Adv Server.

Here we use Symantec AntiVirus Filtering, with the latest DAT. Last weekend, I´ve tried to uninstall antivirus and re-install to check if there´s a problem with him..... the problem still occur... :-(

The conversion settings is the original from Lotus, here I didn´t see any reason to change this settings. The default is great for me.

Mail forward is not a "known" facilitie here... Just for some user (IT users, and some managers...) I redirect mails to external accounts, like hotmail and zipmail.

I´ve rebuilded all mailboxes every time server crashes, and there is no duplicated email address.

I´ll check this, I´m not sure... I`m certain that I have a group that contain other group, but not sure if there is a empty group...

By the way, I´m suspecting of problems with Lotus´s updates. What do you think about?
