Router Configuring: Port forwarding problems

I recently re-configured the network here, and have run into some issues.

My configuration looks like this:

Code:
Internet -> Modem -> Router -> Web Server

The problem is, the server is not accessable to the network or the internet. I know the server is functioning correctly, as it will parse/display all files correctly when viewed from the server machine itself.

I have set up port forwarding on the router to send all web traffic on port 80 to the ip address of the server. However, when monitoring traffic on the server, I never see the requests.

I have been working on this issue for several days now, and have had no luck finding the information I need. Any help would be apreciated.

I know this may seem a bit basic, but try this:

1. Save your existing router configuration using the web-utility.

2. Reset your router settings back to default.

3. Reconfigure your router for access to the internet. do not setup port-forwarding yet.

4. Restart your server, click start -> run -> cmd -> then type ipconfig. Determine what IP your router is giving you.

5. Go into your router setup, and do portforwarding for 80 again.

6. Go outside of your network and give it a shot. Should work perfectly.

I had a very similar problem where I had port-forwarding setup correctly for Remote Desktop Connection but it did not work. I performed the above steps and it all works perfectly now. =)

Thank you, I apreciate your input. I have not worked extensively with router configuration. I'll give it a shot and let you know how the results were.
