Router command to activate E/M card

I have bought a Cisco 2811-V/K9 with a VIC2?2E/M. The current IOS is S28NSPSK9?12311T.
The router doesn't recognize the vic2-2E/M. Apparently we need to upgarde the IOS to 12.4 minumum.

I have been told after having upgrade this IOs, I need to enter a command line. But the person who told me that doesn't remember teh command: somthing like ''card-type''.

I have never used one before, so thats the only thing I can think of.

Make sure the router recognises the card first, using

show diag
