Hello to all. I have installed a DTK router as bridge at my father's house. He has a Trendnet router and the DTK worked as bridge without problems.
I bought an identical DTK router and did the same settings at my house but it does not seem to work.
DTK bridge settings:
set operating mode to bridge
disable dhcp and set ip aoutside main router dhcp range an in iis same subnet
enable wds
write mac address of main router in wds

At my house after writing the mac address there is a com test and the dtk transmits and receives packets ok but still..no internet. :-(

Any help appreciated thanks.

Outside interface is public IP, and inside to your LAN is a private IP...right? Is it performing NAT correctly?

Burt

The main router is connected to a DSL Modem via WAN port and to my 2 pcs via LAN (1,2,3,4 ports). The bridge or 2nd router is just connected to an Xbox. It gets internet wirelessly from the main router.

NAT is enabled

Why use a 2nd router if you have two extra switchports on the first router?

Burt

Because i need to connect an rj 45 device wirelessly and cannot use a wireless nic
