Hai,

Currently all the new Nortel Routers that I have recived is using Site Manager 15.20, I think the Image is also the latest on. From telnet is there any command to show the image/version off a particluar router.

Secondly, I have just upgrade an AN router image 12.2 to ASN-2 Image 15.20, it works fine on the FR clouds but fails on the internal router site. For an uknown reasons It can't accept to default gateway using the same subnet. I can from the router until the end user PC, but from the end user PC I can't even ping the default gateway off the second router.

Since I am actualy a Cisco train guy, I am unable to forseen the error. I have used shows ip rip alerts but none shows. Is there any command that I can used to debug?.

Thanks

Sounds like a problem I had when configuring ISDN. Turn on 'Default Routes for Subnets' and 'Zero Subnets Enabled' under IP -> Global . The way I under stand it this make it a classless enviroment. (Think I said that right) My suggestions are what I would try myself. If incorrect, I welcome corrections to my knowledge.

You can view the Sw version of your router by using Telnet. You should enter as Manager, then type bcc and enter in "config mode" by typing "config". Finally type "info" to view the SW version.
How can I upgrade the SW image version? I have read that you did it!

hai,

When I said I have done an upgrade, I have bought a new Flash Card with the Image 15.2. I don't think there is a way that we can upgrade our old Image to a new Image with out clearing the old image first. What I have done before is using Site manager to clear up the an/arn/asn.exe file first. Then ftp back a new arn/an/asn.exe. It may be wrong but that the way I have done to about 20 sites. Accoring to Bay tech that not the wright way, we must have the Image and do it on site. :), Bay even have a software that allows us to have multiple Site Manager in One PC.

Thanks
