extn 66666 has a cover path that is r1,r2,v44444
r1 and r2 are extns on another switch connected by ip trunk (with back up to PSTN), DCS is enabled on this tie trunk. vdn 44444 is simply this:
01 wait 0 secs hearing ringback
02 route to number 55555 with cov y unconditionally
03 stop
55555 is a vdn on the other switch whose vector just messages to the voicemail of extn r1 above.
Sometimes the vdn in the cover path fails, the events log shows the following:
coverage option ignored
route to failed
stop
I'm unclear how this works/fails given posts on coverage issues when vector was entered from a coverpath etc...
So this works most of the time but there is some condition when the route to step fails but i've not been able to simulate it down just yet.
Can someone point me in the right direction?
