I just ordered a new phone no from verizon. They have it routed in on our PRI. It is ringing at the PBX Operator. How do I get that number routed to a certain phone??

Well if they have the new number routed to your switch in the same manner as your other numbers, it should just be a matter or programming the number on a phone. Have you already done that?

What DID number did you tell them to point it at, the main number or another DID number. If it's pointed at the main Number, you'll need the phone company to change that to the DID number of the phone you want to ring.

I told them to route it to one of my DIDS and when you call the DID it goes to the operator and not the DID. They told me to program it in my switch because they have it coming in on the PRI. Its a totally different number. Could it be they have the number coming directly in and not routed to a DID? How do I setup the phone no on that phone? it has a different prefix than my DIDS

Can you call that phone by dialing it's DID number?

To program it in your switch, you must put it on a phone or an ACD, how did you program it?

If you want it to go so where else, you need the phone company to point it to the DID of that phone.

You might have to go in LD 49 and add it to your IDC table.

"If I can't fix it, it's not broke!

If there sending it to his main number that won't help, he need's to get it changed to another DID.

agree with ace, the only thing i might try..

I have about 20 800 type numbers coming into my switch and I have them term on DID number's that I have ACD queues built for so I can redirect then to another phone on sit or off site.

believe it or not verizon says they have it pointed to my DID and that its coming in on the PRI and I should program my switch. I finally called back and said set it up for call forwarding just like at your house...

? what i would find out from verizon is what did are they pointing it to? get it pointed to a vacant did and build that as a mcr or acd.. the problem with home style forwarding is, it's not built for a switch and you can't change forwarding from the switch...

I just checked my IDG table. Basically I need 534-3627 to route to DID 519-1599 I had an existing DCNO 0 but didn't know how to add to it. So I created a DCNO 1 but it doeesn't work. A current working number is 8111 1800.

do a change in ld 49, dcno 0 when you get down to IDGT then enter the new number.. you can only use one dcno per route on day and one on night.. the chg command will allow a new entry to dcno 0

I got it!!! you guys are the best.

Thanks!!!

it was easier than I made it out to be. I just deleted the DCNO 1 that I created and added my IDGT to the DCNO 0.

Thanks again!!
