Is there a way to route calls to 0 to route to an extn?

Right now, it rings at a console but on certain days, an extn is covering the calls and we want anyone dialing 0 to reach there.

Have you tried call forwarding 0 to another extension? You could also try using uniform dialplan to map 0 differently but that requires you to make the change and it's not possible for the user to control.

0 is configured in the dial plan as attd.

I prefer setting up 0 as a UDP extension. This gives the flexibility of using location based AAR to route the call differently for different sites/locations. Send the call to a VDN which goes to the operator or to another station depending on the conditions. Assuming you have EAS activated you can use variables to route the calls specific ways.
