hi,

I am trying to add the default route into my routing table.
Unfortunately I cannot add the default route. The given error message is : network unreachable
On the other hand the system cannot ping itself.

Can anyone help me.

WTC

Adding the default route is simple if the nic in your box is working, it doesn't appear to be. What release of SCO are you running? What kind of NIC are using Make and Model #. I think you will find that the defualt route is the least of your problems, get the nic going and that will be a piece of cake.

aseidas,

The NIC is up and running and the running SCO version is 5.0.0.

Tony,

I have checked the files and they seem to be correct. I can't find the reason why I can't add a default route.

If you have other helpful tips then you make me happy.

Thankx,

WTC

What do you mean you can't add it?

What files did you check and what commands are in them?

Show us "netstat -rn" also. Tony Lawrence
