I have three extension in a hunt-group with the group type circ, I would like the first extension to ring and if no one picks up, then goto the 2nd extension, and if no one picks up there then goto the 3rd extension, now if no one picks up the 3rd extension it should loop back to the 1st extension never hitting voice mail.

When I use a coverage answer-group it stops at one extension and just keeps ringing.

I would like to do this without setting up agents. Is it possible?

My System is an S8400.

How about using a cover path...i.e.;

Point 1 = h2 Point 2 = h2 and so on... looks like a loop to me....

You would be better off using a Coverage answer group, and have all 3 phones ring until someone answer the call.

Station Hunting

Use the Station Hunting feature to find an extension that is available to answer
a call when the called extension is busy. The system checks for an idle
extension in the station-hunting chain of the called extension before the system
routes the call to the coverage path of the called extension.

The Station Hunting feature supports the following capabilities:

- Station Hunting Before Coverage
If the system finds an idle extension in the station-hunting chain of the called

extension, the system leaves the call at the idle extension.
- Station Hunting After Coverage

If the system does not find an idle extension in the station-hunting chain of
the called extension, the system routes the call to the coverage path of the
last extension in the station-hunting chain.

Detailed description of Station Hunting

This section provides a detailed description of the Station Hunting feature.
To use Station Hunting, you create a station-hunting chain. This chain governs
the order in which the system routes the calls when the system encounters a busy
station. Each station in the chain links to only one subsequent station in the
station-hunting chain. However, a station can be the receiving link from any
number of station-hunting chains.

When the system starts to check the station-hunting chain, the system updates
the display of the calling party with an h. The system also updates the display
of the called party with an h.

You can administer an unlimited number of extensions in a station-hunting chain.

Ok, thanks for all the information.
Wellco 9530 - I tried the coverage path but at point 6 the phone stops looping and stays at the last station and keeps ringing.

AvayaTier3 - These three stations I don't want them to always hunt to another station. For instance we have a menu tree and if you pick 2 it routes to hunt-group extension 3000, within that hunt-group I have those three stations. Then it should hunt to the other stations and loop around if no one picks up. Now if I just dial one of those three stations extension and they don't pick up I still will want it to go to their voicemail.

So basically in the menu tree I want it to round-robin with the three extension when option 2 is press and if you dial one of those extensions directly, I don't want it to hunt to another station, just go to that extension voice mail box.

create a new group with the same extns in the create messaging for that group.
