I'm using Excel 2000. I want to put text inside a diamond. I drew a diamond using autoshapes and centered it in the cell. I then simply entered a number in the cell, also centered. But when I resize the width of the column, the number moves but not the diamond shape I made, so things are no longer centered together.

So I decided to put the number in a text box and lock it to the cell, however, I'm finding out that you can't seem to rotate a text box.

So what I'm wondering is, how can I put some text inside a diamond shape and have it stay in the middle of a cell always, no matter what the width or height?

Thanks so much for your help!!

Thanks!!

Matt

I'm using 2003, but it should be the same.

Right-click your diamond and select format autoshape. On the properties tab, make sure "Move and size with cells" is selected.

HTH,

For some reason that has no affect on the diamond.

Odd.

Any ideas why?

Thanks!!
