When the switch is installed in a Hotel, you can configure one TTY port to work with an interface of some hotel managment software (Brilliant, Opera...). If someone do a check in or check out, or wake up call, or change of room status, the interface send the information to the PBX. The check in is a frame in the next format:
SE CP 312 " Joseph " CH IN LA 1
When 312 is a room number, Joseph the name of client, CH IN the order and LA 1 the language.
Some hotel softwares, have the posibility to move a client from one room to another, because the first room is not in perfect condition.
In this case, I don´t know if the CS1000 or Meridian have this option...
Normally, you would have a GAC terminal next to the switch or at the operators console to make these changes. Your primary controller is the Hotel/Motel Management System to check out and check back in the user. Talk to that vendor for more information.
