I have a standard PowerEdge 2400 currently setup with a RAID 5. I have one additional drive with some data on it that I want to get at from an expired server we already had. I would like to add that drive to this server (not into the RAID 5, but just as an additional drive in Windows. I'm not exactly sure how to go about doing this. If there's anyone who has done this before, your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I've never configured a drive with data in it into a Dell array. However it's easy to add one drive in a stand-a-lone non-raid configuration. You use Array Manager or the command raid configurator.

Yep, enter the config manager and add the new drive as a volume. I would definitely drop the drive into a windows 2k box and grab a copy of the data before installing it in the server, it may wipe the drive, tho i'm not positive.

Adding a drive to any array will wipe any data off the drive during the rebuild process.
