Need to have an elevator analog phone dial an outside phone number when the handset is picked up. I assume I would use Hotline Index. I configured an index with the number I need dialed and assigned to the analog extension. When I do this, I get the error "Hotline index number 8 was entered but the device does not have the Class Of Service to utilize it". There is not a spot in the index configuration to put a class of service. What am I missing. Thanks.

Forgot to mention I am using LCWin. I'm not good at all with AMO.

My co-worker figured this out. Thanks.

Check the following in RMX/Comwin via AMO :

FEASU: HOTRCL to be added

For analog phone :
ADD-HOTLN:HOTDEST,8,xxx,NONE;

on SDAT: HOTIDX = 8
on SDAT: HOT & OFHKRC to be added

on COSSU: HOT & OFHKRC to be added

For the Siemens 9006 use the AMO COS with the feature HOT to setup a class of service with the hotline feature (along with others) and example would be:

ADD-COS:,10,HOT&KN&MDR&MSGWCAP

I see the op is all set. Some local rules require a CO line for an elevator.

I use PBX lines for elevators, but our local code requires that I maintain that phone for a minimum of 4 hours in the event of a power outage, so I need to have biga$$ UPS batteries on those systems... The hospital has a generator, but even that has 2 hours of battery behind it.
