Roaming Profiles for XP Laptop / Terminal Services Users

Hi

We use roaming profiles for all of our workstation users.

All of our laptop users are using local profiles.

We have just installed a 2k3 terminal server for some of the laptop users.

I want to make the laptop users roaming profile users so that all of their my docs etc are backed up and so that they can access all of their information from the TS.

But some of the users may not always be connected to the internet when they are working remotely so may modify the documents that are on their local profile, what happens to these documents when the next login locally?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

I have dealt with this issue as well. I would suggest using offline files in conjunction with Terminal Services for the laptop users. This will allow them to take files offsite and sync when they return (or remtoely via VPN), while still allowing complete roaming capabilities through TS.
