I'm trying to get my head round the way that the roaming profile works.
I understand that for an account you can specify the location for a local copy of the profile and the location for the server copy of the profile.
1) Is the following true?
Each time a user signs on, the server copy overwrites the local copy and the local copy is used.
Any changes to the local profile during the session are stored on the local copy and then uploaded to the shared location when the user signs off.
2) If the roaming profile is used on a network share for a laptop user, will the laptop just use the local profile when it boots up without a connection to the network ( i.e. just as a stand alone machine )?
3) Am I correct the 'home folder' defined on the 'profile' tab of a user account defines the location of 'My Documents'? If so I assume a local copy is also stored on a laptop for sessions disconnected from the network?
Thanks
