Roaming Profile Problems

We have 2 Citrix Metaframe servers and are using roaming profiles.

As I understand it I should work in the following way, when a user logs on their profile is copied from the PDC to %systemroot%\profiles\%username% on the metaframe server, then when they log off this profile is copied back to the PDC

But at the moment it seems like when a user logs on, they use their profile copy allready on the Metaframe server - without taking the one from the PDC. But it then copies this back to the PDC with any updates when they log off.

What would be the best way to solve this problem?

Would it help if the copy of the profile stored on the Metaframe server was deleted when the users log out - if so how would I best implement this?

Is the Terminal Server Profile path pointing to this location, and does it have the correct permissions?

The cached profile should update the central (for want of a better word) profile in order to save user modifications (unless you've explicitly disabled this!). It should also be deleted, but more often than not isn't. I tend to use scripts to clear these down on startup (if you do it on shutdown you will be prone to "file in use" errors). This I incorporate into weekly reboot schedules.

I have checked and The terminal server Profile path is correct and the permissions seem fine.

Is there any way I can delete the cached profile when the user logs out?

There is a computer policy setting for deleting cached profiles and there is a utility called delprof.exe which will delete the profiles.
