Roaming Profile not saving 1

One of my users roaming profile is not saving to the server. Every time he log's out and then log's back in nothing that he changed saved (outlook, service center...so on.) I checked the permissions on his user and profile folders everything seems fine there. The problem seemed to occur after I informed him that his files needed to be cleaned he was using way too much space. He cleaned great so it also can’t be the space available. He doesn’t have admin privileges on the pc but like I said he does have read and write access on the profile folders. We are running 2000. Has anyone else had this problem???Thanks so much for any help you may or may not be able to give.

Have you got him to log on and off on another PC? Do that fisrt so you can iliminate his machine from the equation. Glenn

check that user's profile (ntuser.dat) has a dat extention but not man or any other. (it's also possible)
check GP on users OU : there could be setting enabled - do not save settings on exit.
recreate the users profile or try the local one - did the problem dissappear?

Thank you sooooooooooo much. I must have looked at that folder a hundred times and did not even notice the .dat had changed to .man. Wish I new how it could have happened but all better now. You rule. Thanks for all the Help.
