Rmiregistry shutdown?

Anyone know if their is a way to shutdown a registry other than a system restart?

hi jebrick,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;as of now there s no specific graceful way to shutdown the rmi registry .there s one way to do it in somewhat graceful manner ..<br>ie <br>&nbsp;Try using the class<br>&nbsp;&quot;java.rmi.registry.LocateRegistry&quot; to &quot;createRegistry(portNumber)&quot; from within your servant object. When the servant exits, the registry goes&nbsp;&nbsp;away, too. More graceful. <br><br>ganesh
