Hi,
I have a problem adding a couple of 2950G-EI switches to the RME, I cannot get the the telnet attribute to work. Every time I add the correct password attribute and check the status of the device I always get "not supported"....
any ideas
Thanks
Gary

Are you able to Telnet to this device? When doing that are you using the same password as the one specified in the Device attibute? By your message I would believe that Telnet is not available to this device.

sorry should have been more specific. yep, telnet is fine, snmp fine, connectivity is all ok. dns is correct, banging my head against a wall here. Only the 2950's are giving me these problems, I have no issues with 3550's 4500's and 6500's that we are managing.

any help appreciated.

Thanks
Gary

Open a ticket with the Cisco tac and get an IDU2.0 or 3 upgrade patch. We ran into this problem with different versions of IOS codes.
