Looking for any info/experience with RM/Cobol running on an Intel server with Solaris 8.

What type of information do you need? Tom Morrison

Such things as object and file portability, version of RMCobol required, any documented problems. We are currently running version 6.09.03 on a NCR Intel server running MP-RAS 3.02. Plan on migrating to Solaris 8 on Dell Poweredge. Just looking for any "heads-up" items.

RM/COBOL is 100% object- and data-file portable. You should simply need to purchase an RM/COBOL runtime for Solaris, binary FTP your data and object files and you're running. (This assumes that the shell scripts you are using will migrate as easily. I think they will between these two systems, but I am no expert.) Tom Morrison
