RLS 12 Mer Mail

I have a customer that wants to borrow a RLS 12 Install Tape that I have. I'm not really sure that it is a good Tape so before I send it I thought I would test. I have a RLS 13 and if I hook that to my mail in the lab without a Hard Drive I still get to the Install Menu. But if I do the same thing with the 12 I get nothing. Do you think it is bad or does it not come up the same way as rls 13?

I know this wasn't your question, but they don't need this to reset a password do they?...that can be accomplished without the tape on Rls 12.

Ok tape did not work, I do have in my lab a rls 13 that does work. what would happen if they used the 13 but put in their rls 12 keycodes? What can I say they are running an 11c with rls 24.24 and it works great for them so they do not want to upgrade. I told them their only other option may be to get a 3rd party voicemail and hook it up.

The Rls 13 Tape will not install using the Rls 12 keycodes unfortunately, the only option is to locate a working Rls 12 Tape.

I HAVE AN OPTION 11 WITH MERMAIL RLS 12. AML IS UP,MAIL IS UP, BUT ALL VOICE ARE DISABLED,CANT ENABLE BECAUSE PARENT CARD IS DISABLED SYSTEM HAS BEEN RE-BOOTED. IS THERE ANY FIX.

Enable the parent card! If your trying to enable VoicePorts, you will not be able to if the Voice card itself is disabled, so enable the card first.

Let me update this, sorry for the delay I just got it corrected last week. The rls 13 tape did not work, MossEng was correct. It turns out that the install tape is 12.12 and the mail was 12.14. I thought that you could just use any rls 12 tape but apparently you can not. I did use the 12.12 that I could not get to work on an older mail so I know that the tape is good now. Hope this makes since, thanks for all the help.
