rlogin as root

hi there,
i have a question, despite having entries in .rhosts and /etc/hosts.equiv, root is not able to login to another machine without giving the password. is there something i'm missing.

Probably the entries in the .rhosts file are in the form
+hostname

try to use only
+ (for all client)
or
hostname (without +)
