I have the cd-based image on the RIS server and now I want to create my first live RIS image. I have the prototype client computer here - do I want to install the OS on the prototype manually by CD or do I try to get the cd-image to pull down from the RIS server, and then build on it from there?

Thanks in advance,
LJG

Either way will be the same result unless you have any service packs and/or hotfixes slip streamed into the cd flat image on the RIS server. If you already have them slip streamed into the image, use that to save the time of downloading and installing them on the pc that you will be imaging.

I ran the first image from the Cd because i have problems with regional settings. If installed from the RIS flat image i couldnot get the clients locale to English UK rather than US even when editing the .sif files. The only way round was to create the image from the CD
