um, is this a Graphical question, or a Java(not javascript) question, also if its a graphic question, depends on the graphic program you are using. <p>Karl<br><a href=mailto:kb244@kb244.com>kb244@kb244.com</a><br><a href=
Well, I guess that's part of my question, how to do this to go on a web page? Do it in graphics, Java, or what? I've seen this in pictures on the net, picture of trees and water, the water seems to be rippling. Was just wondering how that effect was achieved? As you can tell, I have some, but only a little, web design experience. Appreciate any help!
um, I saw a java applet that did the ripple effect once, but that was along time ago.<br><br>you could make a .gif animation of different stages of the ripples tho.<br> <p>theEclipse<br><a href=mailto:eclipse_web@hotmail.com>eclipse_web@hotmail.com</a><br><a href=robacarp.webjump.com>robacarp.webjump.com</a><br>**-Trying to build a documentation of a Javascript DOM, crossbrowser, of course. E-mail me if you know of any little known events and/or methods, etc.
if that was a 3d Graphic you seen, then the water was a result of a true 3d reflection on a texture map, like in Bryce 4.0 which I have, but if just taking any normal image, programs like Paint Shop Pro, can let you apply a ripple effect to an image. But if you want like a Lake, reflecting stuff off a shore, you're going to need to get a 3d application, then save a screenshot, check out my site <A HREF="
I kind of do the same thing in Bryce 4.0, I could make it more so, but I wanted it settle. <p>Karl<br><a href=mailto:kb244@kb244.com>kb244@kb244.com</a><br><a href=
I'll bet anything that was a Java applet. You could probably find one just about anywhere... just do a web search for lake, applet, and Java and I guarantee you'll find one pretty darn quick.<br><br>That is, if you're ok with just using somebody else's code. <p>Liam Morley<br><a href=mailto:lmorley@wpi.edu>lmorley@wpi.edu</a><br><a href=
and under JavaFX choose preview. They have a picture of a rippling reflection. Click on the picture for instructions on how to change yours.
Bingo! Thanks for the search tip. That was what I was looking for, but didn't know what to call it! Found heaps of helpful sites with the lake applet! Appreciate all the help!<br>MLyle
if this is this affect you want email me mail@networknortheast.co.uk and i will send you the address of the site with the free program to creat the applet [sig][/sig]
