ringtype no longer works in v3.0 1

It seems that the ringtype paramater no longer works with V3.0

The settings haven't changed (403, 44xx sets) but the different rings are gone!

On the bright side, nothing else seems to have broken with my upgrade from 2.1

Anybody have any ideas if or when I'll be able to get the ringtype parameter to work again?

Try reinstalling 3.0 over the 3.0. Sometimes the upgrade doesn't always work correctly even though it says successful.

Don't bother reinstalling. This topic has been discussed here before if you do a search.

The ring tone parameter wasn't meant to work on anything except analog phones. Somewhere in the life of 2.1 some clever coder got it working on other phones but forgot to tell anybody including their colleagues diligently working on the 3.0 code base.

And with the distinctive ringing change that was added in 3.0, it probably wasn't a simple job to port over the unannounced change from 2.1.

I BTW, search under "Ringtype" to no avail... that was the parameter on the config page...
