Hello, I have a customer with an ACS R6.0 that is brand new. I originally installed the new one several months back and now I have already swapped it out with an advanced replacement a few weeks ago due to the fact that a few ext's that are programmed not to ring somehow begin to ring shortly after I leave? I go back and check the programming and the Ext's that are ringing are still set not to ring! But as I am standing there and a call comes in sure enough the phone in the office next to me that is set not to ring it does? This is a mystery and definitely need some solid advice.

I would start off by plugging the extensions with the problem directly into the system to make sure there is not some kind of problem with the wiring.

Are the extensions forwarded, or receiving call forwarded or covered from another extension?

Nope, no extra programming or forwarding. They just want and need Ext 11 & 15 for the two receptionist's. But the owners phone is ringing in his office and isn't real happy about it but I want to try and gather some useful info before I go back there next week so I don't look to stupid because I have ran out of answers for him for the mysterious ringing problem. It would be a much better to be able to go in there and correct the problem. But I will also double check that someone isn't forwarding their phone. It just seems that they would know that within the office if that were the case.

Check and see if your system is in nite mode and your ext's are in the nite ring group.

I haven't been back to the customer site yet but I know the system isn't in night mode or they couldn't operate the large business office with 2 receptionist during the day with no ringing. I could still use more hints or advice before I go back there in a few days everyone. I might as well go well armed to figure out the problem. Thanks

at ehis point I would initilize it and reprogram
