Ringing Pickup

Hello,

I ran into a problem today that I have not found an answer for and I was wondering if anyone has a solution.

System: CS 1000E
User A's tele: M2616
User B's tele: M2006

User B wants to be in a pickup group with User A so that while User A is out of the office User B can pickup the telephone. User B can currently pickup User A's telephone but the problem is that User B's telephone doesn't ring to let User B know that there is someone calling User A's telephone.

Any help would be great, thanks.
 
That is correct, it works as it was designed. You call user A, the phone A rings, You call user B, the phone B rings.

1) Callforward A to B
2) be sure B can hear the A's phone

otherwise B can NEVER know that A's phone is ringing.
 
look up bfs keys..

key 5 bfs 4 0 0 2

if i had that key i could press it once, it would flash and that phone (all lines) are not forwarded to my phone.. if also shows me when that phone is off hook on any line

put user "A" dn as a scr on a spare key on user "B" phone. That way user b can here ring and answer or ignore at will.
 
Ok, now I have the telephones setup and ringing properly. However I ran into another issue that is related.

I have an M2008 telephone rining to another M2008 telephone, but I can't get the Caller ID to work on the destination telephone. When I enable MARP for either telephone under SCR it will disable it on the other.

When I enable MARP on either telephone the telephone that it is being rung to will still not display the Caller ID.

Your previous posts were helpful and I appreciate all of the help.
