ringback instead of a busy tone when the station is logged off

Hello,

I have a specific question about the configuration of the system or a specific extension. Specifically, our users would like the caller to hear a ringback instead of a busy tone when they log out of a workplace app/telephone.

In fact, I've been experimenting here with an extension with 5 call appearances (our default configuration), regardless of whether the phone has limit call active or "restrict last call appearance" I always hear ringback. A coverage path is not set up. It is also a fact that we have some users for whom this already works. I see at first glance but no differences between the configuration of the extensions.

Is there a special setting for this, or a correlation?

 
I think you mean ringback tone instead of dial tone? Dial tone is what you hear when you lift the phone. Ringback is what you hear when the phone rings at the other end.

So you hear dial tone when you call a phone that is logged off?

You are absolutely right, of course I meant the ringback. I've edited my post accordingly...

We currently hear a busy tone on some extensions when they are logged off. However, we would like all extensions to signal a ringback when they are logged off.
