Hi
I have a question. i swapped in a "restored" bcm50 to update an older abused bcm50. did the back up on the old one, did a restore on the new one, all went good, i needed to do some dn changes, which i did. its a PRI bcm50, all identical keycodes and latest s.w release etc.

incoming calls used to go directly to ccr tree and route perfectly. the new one, it does the exact same thing, except one new "gotcha i can't seem to find. it does a quick "ring splash" on the attendant DN before the callpilot/ ccr tree has a chance to grab it?

i've spent the morning whiteboarding this and searching the 2 systems BEM screens side by each and its just not jumping out at me. any suggestions? i'm a bit stumped.
thanks in advnce

Have you checked in the CallPilot web interface? The “Number of Rings” setting could be set to something other than zero

thx for your prompt response, i compare settings in both old and new under Lines Administrations in the callpilot and the PRI is set to answer on zero rings, and from my knowledge, that means it shouldn't ring any phone if theres an active tree defined to answer it? thats my understanding
i could be wrong, it is monday after all

I'm guessing that your original BCM was also running release 6.0?.

You may have had some corruption in the backup.

When you did the original backup, did you select everything?.

Failing that, Target lines, Application DN's and Call Line allocation would be worth looking at.

You could experiment by changing e.g the Target line or Call Pilot DN to a different destination to try and find the problem.

Check reception set, make sure the Target line/s is told "Appear Only" and not "Appear & Ring" or "Ring Only"

It rings the set based on Appear & Ring then CP quickly grabs it hence the ring splash.

hi thanks all for your replies. i have time today to look into this. i need to re-learn something here. i have line 125 defined in target lines, and i have the callpilot set to answer it immediately, which the old system did. the new system does it as well, but has the ring splash. the settings in target line are control set and prime set. what do these settings actually do? especially if the callpilot is set to answer the target line immediately.
any insight is appreciated
