Hi All.

I have taken over running an SV9100 Phone system with NEC DT700s with a few other odd models in the school I work at.

I am trying to set up something for our IT Office to do the following which I haven't had much luck with so far.

We want a number which users around the school can dial which will ring our 3 phones in our office but showing who is calling.

I have tried this using virtual extensions that ring on each phone but they don't show the caller before answering the phone. Is there a way to show the name of the caller on the phone before picking up the phone?

And is there a better way of achieving this, maybe using ring groups? I had a look at these but couldn't work out how to do it using the manual.

Thanks in advance for your help.

James.

Did you remember to program a name to the virtual?
Ring groups defeat call forwarding, so we generally do not use them unless the users do not have/want voicemail.

I have named the extension under 15-01. Is there somewhere else that I am meant to do this as well?
We would want a voicemail box for the number that users would ring.

Thanks.
