I have the standard opening statement, Not familiar with the option 81 but I have back ground with DMS family and the option 11. I need to remove a DN from an existing Ring Group, I believe the option is RNPG and create a new group. I choose 25 as the RNPG and when I do LST in LD 81, I see the TN's that are assigned but no DN's are listed like the other groups.

I don't think I am configuring it correctly and I am looking for some assistance.

The feature on the phone is in fact RNPG XX, where XX is the Group #. You don't configure the groups any other place other than on the phone. The programming on the 81 is just like the Option 11, just a few more options on the 81.

Thanks for the help but I see the DN's in other groups but not the one I enter RNPG 25. If I do a LST in LD 81 and PUA is the FEAT, that is where I don't the DN and TN just the TN's.

Are your sets in RNPG 25 digital? LD 81 only prints the DN for analog sets.

What I do is print a TNB to a text file and then import it into one of the conversion utilities that others have written.

On the mirror of Gene Trout's site - , download the ConversionUtility(BARS-TNB-More)_by_DB.zip (Parse an TNB into Excel) file. Print your TNB to a text file and the ConversionUtility will put your TNB into an Excel file which you can filter by RNPG.

The conversion program is great and a big help.

I have the two DN's set for group 25 but it still does not work. I was thinking of changing the KEY to SCR for both number on both stations.

If you post the TNB for a set that LD 81 doesn't print the DN for, the Tek-Tips eagle eyes may spot something.

I have CLS PUA, DPUA and GPUA to both TN's. Both have RNPG 25. It still does not work.

Does it matter if there are other DN's assigned to KEYS but are SCN? What am I missing?

The keys have to be SCR for you to be able to pick them up. SCN won't cut it.

No reason it shouldn't work, PUA in CLS on all phones, RNPG # defined on all phones, SPRE code defined or a pickup button.

Point me in the direction for information on SPRE, that could be the missing piece.

SPRE is just a system wide code to be used in conjunction with features if you don't have an available button for the feature. It is not necessary to configure it for digital sets. You can also use Flexible Feature Codes for Call Pick up also. I would post a print out of a couple of phones that it isn't working on and let the members see what might be missing.

SPRE can actually be a single digit, we typically use 1

That is true, using a single digit can eat up your numbering plan in a hurry. That may have been a company thing more than anything when all of our training documentation was pretty much the same from one job to another. Seems we just always used 1 for SPRE
