Ring Duration before call is transferred no answer.

Hello Folks,

First off, Thank you for such an informative Tech site.
We currently have a site with an IVS2 and I currently have a customer that has an issue with the amount of rings a call has prior to rolling over (Call Fwd no answer) to his station. Currently the number of rings is 7. he would like to change this to 3. any help would be immensely helpful! Thanks in advance.

The problem you have with this is that it is a global timer so you can't just change it for his station. So if others need the time to get to the phone, you will soon find yourself changing it back!

That said there are a couple of timers that apply depending on call type The command is 410 de then if first data is 01

Elapsed time before
Call Forwarding-
Don’t Answer (No
Answer) for trunk
incoming call/Automatic
Change of
Night Service
(Attendant Overflow)/
Group

If first data is 15 then

Call Forwarding-
Don’t Answer (No
Answer) for internal
call and assisted call

The second data goes in 4 second steps so 01 = 0 to 4 seconds, 02 = 4 to 8 seconds and so on (it's not an exact setting as it depends on where in the ring cycle the call starts)

Later software releases (3100) added a second CFB option (CMD 410>100 + 101), and IPS software has an individual CFB option. Can you provide the software level?
CMD F85>ff03> ????, or log in with MatWorxs and look at the top bar for the software level.

Ozzie, The site's current level is set for: 5 which is 16-20 second duration according to the command manual. I will adjust accordingly.

P1 is version 3900, which is the latest and last software release. You can do individual CFB using CMD E607 and E608.
