I need to have 10 phones on one IP Office 500 set so that if any one of the phones go off hook they ring the others and when they pick up they automatically enter a conference bridge. I will listen to any option or variation. It is for a safety 'ring of phones' in a Nuclear plant.

Catalyst techs say can't be done. I like challanges!

Thanks

Well, here is what is working. I created a short code *95 with the Hust group and Priorty Call. If I dial *95 from any phone it does hit the conf bridge and ring the other phones. However the ?D Dial *95 does not work here. Tries to call an External number??????

?D Dial will always dial out a trunk, to dial an extn you need to set it to Dial Extn, so you could try dial extn for the code but I doubt it'll work. Try ?D, Priority Call, 1196 :)

There is a shortcode for lifting the horn and dail but i always forget which obe it is :)

honey, i fried the IP Office !!!

Sarcasm, it's only one of the services I offer.

Allow me to modify it a bit.

Code: *99
Feature: Priority call
Tel number: 200
Line grp: 0

Then build user shortcodes for those users like this:
Code: ?D
Feature: Dial EXTN
Tel number: 201
Lin grp: 0

Next is to forward unconditional user 201 to *99

It appears that you cannot use ?D properly without providing a valid extension number

Star for tlpeter for the sheer coolness of the function.

That works like i had in mind :)
Star for your added value.

It can be done much easier.

Give all the users that are a member of the group a user shortcode:

?D
Priority call
Groupnumber.

No need for a virtual user with a forward and the system shortcode.

True but his example had the initial specification of activating the function by going off hook. I really like the idea of combining so many IPO features into one function.

With that user shortcode it will dial straight away when you go offhook or press any button.

Try it :)

Yeah I already did when I was messing with it earlier. It works just as you say and I must say that I was impressed with the feature! Your feature request is very cool. Good call.

The customer wants to use 10 of the 6221 Analog phones. Can anyone see any problem with using them? I don't have any to test with but it really should not matter.

Thanks

All's well that Works well! Well, sort of!

You can use them.
Just put the shortcode in the users's shortcode field.
This works fine.

So how is this emergency bridge going to be used? The nuclear plant goes into meltdown mode and they want to have a conference call about it? I wonder what that conversation would be like.
