Hi all,
System: Software Load: R017x.01.0.532. Avaya CM and 9608 H323 phones.
One of the phones on a remote location has no ringer, status station says: Ring Cut Off Act? Yes
The person on the remote location is a nog technican and didnt want to change something.
I've no H323 phone on my location so I can't take-over the phone. I've only Avaya OneX or a SIP-phone.

I've search the forums but no solution found how to solve this problem remotely.
I can't programm a ringer button or something on the phone, I can't only programm a "ringer-off" button, I can't fount another "ringer" fuction. This button is green but nothing happen when pressing this button.

Any idea?
Thanks a lot.

The "ringer-off" button is a toggle button. Program that button on the users' station and have them press it so that it's no longer green and then remove it.

Thanks Sean655 but when the user push this button, nothing happen.
I've tried it in OneX Communicator, but nothin happen when I toggle or click this button.

Command: list trace station 5101/14

This command uses button number + 6 and will toggle the ring-off state

You should also check 46xxsettings.txt

## and whether users may change this setting.
##
## A value of 0 turns off audible alerting; user cannot

## A value of 2 turns off audible alerting; user can adjust

## A value of 3 turns on audible alerting; user can adjust
## ringer volume and can turn off audible alerting.

Command: change station 5101 and remove ring-off, if active will return Object in Use; please try later
If not active, the button can be removed.

Thanks again, I've already tried the li trace 5101/14, very good function the +6 trace :)
I've tried it again but no results.
I've logged 5101 in by Avaya OneX so I can also see this button and can click on it but it stays green.

I realy don't know if this is the correct button. User contact us that the phone isn't ringing anymore, i've checked with status station and configure the ringer-off button as a try but I don't know if this is the correct button.
Activate the button with a list trace + 6, or toggle in OneX, or toggle by the user, no result and stil "Ring Cut Off Act? Yes".

Our 46xx is the default setting, setting 3 so the user can adjust the volume and turn off audible alerint, I can change it to setting 1 so this problem cannot occur another time.

If I want to remove this button, object in use indead.

Command: display button-labels 5101

I've tried busy station 5101 and a status, function still active.
Tried another trace li trace 5101/14 when phone is not logged in but same result, function still active.

This appears to be a software bug.
Avaya software corruption engineer to write out button status and
station status in the software tables.

Another option - reset system 4 should clear. (This is severely service affecting)

Thanks, I cannot remove the station in System Manager or Communication Manager, object in use, please try again later. Also after a busy out station I cannot remove, same message.
Look liks a bug indead. For now I make another extension for the user and try a reset system 4 after office hours.
Thanks for helping.

try the list trace station for another phone that you have control over. This will prove the command toggles the ring-off state.

button cannot be removed and station cannot be removed due to this, is normal.
