I my database I have used a Richtext control when inputting data. This has been done so that I cut have different font etc. in the same field.

Now when I'm making a report I need to use the function "can grow" but can't find it for the Richtext control ?. Instead i try to use a a standard text box control, but then I get formatting problems - it seems that it prints all characters, also the ones used for the formating :
{\rtf1\ansi\deff0\deftab720{\fonttbl{\f0\fswiss MS Sans Serif;}{\f1\froman\fcharset2 Symbol;}{\f2\fswiss MS Sans Serif;}}
{\colortbl\red0\green0\blue0;}

Can someone give a solution ??

I have never heard of a "can grow" function. If you want to see font and color changes you'll have to put the data back into a Rich Text Box. If you just want the text you'll have to extract the data from the Rich Text Box with the seltext property. A textbox will never show the fonts and colors that you put into the Rict Text Box.

In my form I have a Richtext control. This is linked to a memo field in my table. When I add data to this field I can use different fonts and colors.

Now I like to make a report where this field shows a note. Sometimes there are a lot of data and the only way I can be sure to get it all on my report is to make a Richtext field that is big enough (not a good solution because what is good enough ?).

Alternative I can use a textbox in my report. This will offcourse not show my fonts, but I can set the property "Can grow" to yes - this will make the textbox control expand vertically when printed to fit text. The bad thing is that when I doo this, the textbox not only shows the text, but also all the formatting codes as showned in my first note.

By the way - I'm using Access 97.

Any solution will help.

You can use FMS Total Access Memo control.
This works great!
