Hello,

On Mercator we receive IDocs from SAP for the processing.

We are facing problem with the RFC Destination to Mercator ports, which is failing to send IDcos to Mercator and many iDocs are getting stuck up.

And if once we restart all the Event Servers on Mercator the RFC Destination is resuming with its functionality.

Does High load on the RFC destination cause the problem?
Please let us know the possible causes and remedy for the above problem.

Thanks in Advance!!

What version and platform are you running, do you have the relevant patches for that release for the ale component?

What do you count as high volume? We process about 10,000 from SAP per day with no issues on 6.7.1+, Wink2k

Hello Tim,

The version of the platform we are using is 6.7(306_2_EM), HP-UX.

We have more than 50 interfaces running on the system. Some of the interfaces will get around 10,000 from SAP per day. We have created two RFC Destinations to balance the load and still facing the same problem.

Thanks in advance for your response.

We had problems with sticking idocs very early on in using it. We are now on version 6.7.2(342_ec87746) on a Windows platform. We don't use load balancing.

That suggests there are later patches available that you have deployed (even given the different platform).

Have you tried producing rfc and/or Event Server traces to catch the problem? When the idocs are not arriving can you still ping the rfc destination from SM58?
