Hey

I have a problem with my Labtec wireless keyboard and mouse. The receiver hangs everytime i start my computer. By hanging I meen that the receiver doesn't respond to keyboard and mouse signals. If I unplugg both the keyboard and mouse cable, and then reconnect it, the receiver starts working again. The problem only occurs when I shut down the computer, not when I restart it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Have you enabled USB keyboard support in the bios?
Are you using the latest drivers for this device off the Labtec website?
Are the batteries nearly flat?

I have USB keyboard enabled in BIOS, although my keyboard isn't a USB type. I'm also using latest drivers for both keyboard and mouse.

After scanning thrue the forums I found out that motherboards by default don't turn off power to the keyboard when the computer is shut down. I didn't find any whay to disable this in my BIOS either. So my solution is to turn off power to computer after shutting down. This works. I have a Abit KR133-R motherboard incase You know how to work around this problem.

Thanks
Petter

I've the same problem, and found allready the same (temporaly) sollution. But this is not the way it is meant. On de site of Labtec you don't find any information regarding this bug. My mobo is an Abit VH6 with the VIA Apollo Pro133A chipset.
