rewrite rule

I'm trying to redirect when a user types in

http://www.example.com

to go to

http://www.example.com/test?/test=1,

but I still want to prevent when I type

http://www.example.com/server-status

from being redirected to the

http://www.example.com/test?/test=1,

but that is the only condition I have. I assume I can do that with the Rewriterule, but I can't seem to figure it out. Any suggestions?

Put this in the .htaccess file of your root directory.

RewriteEngine on 
RewriteRule ^$ /test?/test=1/
[code]


Notice it is unconditional.  Any body who goes to your main page (in DocumentRoot)will be redirected.  If they type another directory they will not.
