Hi,
I'm trying to install an Avaya Partner ACS System into a home. The house has Cat 3 drops in most rooms so about 8-10 drops total. Might even need to put more in on the first floor as there's only one for that entire floor. I took a look at the box outside the connects the landline to the rest of the house- and I have no idea what's going on there. The box says SBC SNET Telephone Network Interface. I thought inside there might be a splitter or something... I've never worked with actual POTS lines before- I've only worked with cable modems, SIP trunking, etc.
There are three cat 3 cables that come out of this box that go into the house. Weird because there are more than 8 phone jacks in the house and all of them work.
Any way to get a Partner System wired into this?
Thanks for the help!
Sam
Here are some pictures: (there was a bush infront of the box so it was hard to get a good angle)
